How Do I Use a VEX Gift Card?
The VEX Gift Card (known previously as a VEX Gift Certificate) is a swap-out product from Voucher Express which can be used like money to order retail gift vouchers, gift cards and digital vouchers.
The VEX Gift Card ends the age-old dilemma of what gift to send. Now your recipient has the option of hundreds of great Retail brands with thousands of individual shops and millions of product choices.
Using a VEX Gift Card
The VEX Gift Card has its own redemption site where you can exchange all or part of your VEX Gift Card. Click here to open the VEX Gift Card redemption site.
Enter the site by adding your VEX Gift Card number on the home page. VEX Gift Cards either have a 20 digit code or a 16 digit code depending on when they were issued. Once entered you may be asked to supply a PIN code. This can be found underneath the scratch-off foil panel on physical cards, or displayed beneath the long card number if you have a digital version of the VEX Gift Card.
The site will display the remaining value of your card on screen. If you're not ready to use your VEX Gift Card you can choose to save it to either your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. (please note if you are not using an Apple device then only the Google Wallet option will display). From this screen you can also choose to add another VEX Gift Card to combine the value of the VEX Gift Cards in your possession.
Click the 'Choose Your Gift' button to go to the main category page. The default view is the A-Z category listing which display all available Retail products whether they be physical or digital. Any featured products are shown in the top scroller area.
Use the other category areas to refine your view to product areas such as Health & Beauty or Sports & Leisure. Remember your VEX Gift Card can be part-redeemed or used to purchase multiple products so there's no reason to spend the full amount on a single product at the same time.
Select a product. The amount you have to spend is shown in the top right corner (2) and the type of product (1) is shown immediately beneath the product header. Remember selecting a digital product means this will be send immediately and should be with you within half an hour; selecting a physical product needs to come via the postal system so please allow at least 2-3 days for delivery.
Some products only exist as either digital or physical versions. If you select a product that only has one format this will be pre-selected. Links to the Retailer's own T&Cs are shown at the foot of each page (3), these will include important information about expiry dates on each product.
Click 'Choose Amount' to go the delivery section. Some products are available in any value whilst others are limited to set denominations only. The available values for each product are shown on the 'choose an amount' page. Choose either a set value or add your other amount (1) - this can be to a £pence level on some products e.g £23.42
Select the quantity of this value you would like to buy (2) and select how you would like your gift cards or eGift to be sent. If you have chosen a physical product this section will ask for your preferred delivery address; if digital you have the option of receiving your gift by email, sms or both (3). We would recommend selecting 'both' to ensure prompt delivery is achieved.
Add to Basket displays your selection and amends the balance on your VEX Gift Card (2). Please check your delivery address (1) extremely carefully to ensure your gift is delivered correctly. You also need to agree to our terms and conditions (3) before proceeding.
Adding more product. You can continue shopping and add additional product to your basket. As per the example below you can mix physical product and digital product in the same basket. If the value of the products selected exceeds the amount of balance available on your VEX Gift Card (1 and 2) you can pay the difference at the checkout.
All major payment methods are supported including AMEX and Paypal. Once complete the processing of your gift card order and/or eGift order proceeds.
Physical gift cards are delivered by post and should arrive within 2-3 days of order. For digital eGifts these should be delivered within the hour of selection. On occasion, particularly when additional payment has been taken, orders are subject to additional security checks which can impact on the availability of your eGift.
Receipt email : whether you exchange for a physical or digital gift you will receive a transaction receipt confirming your order with detail of any remaining balance on the VEX Gift Card used. This is not the actual eGift to be used at the Retail store on Retail online shop.
Collection email : If you have ordered an eGift this will be accessed via a collection email as shown below. Please note this is not the actual eGift to be used at the Retail store on Retail online shop. Clicking Collect will display the actual code on screen. This can be used directly off screen using the PAN and PIN (if required); printed off or added to your Google or Apple Wallet (if supported by the Retail brand selected).
Collection SMS : if this option has been selected a text message is sent from VEX Gift Cards. This shows the value of the gift and a link (tiny url format) to collect the actual eGift. Once disaplayed on screen the actual code can be used as per the emailed version (used on screen, printed off or stored in a wallet).

I recieved an SMS with a link to collect the gift card but the link does not work.
